All of JEN COL’s key field personnel including superintendents, foremen and long-term employees hold a current certificate in Standard First Aid, CPR and have completed courses from the Alberta Construction Safety Association including: Construction Safety Training System, WHMIS and Merit Contractors Supervisor Training Program. Other training and certifications we’ve completed include the Prime Contractors course, Principles of Health and Safety Management, Leadership for Safety Excellence, and Merit Contractors Supervisor Training Program.

JEN COL’s Safety Manager is responsible for the implementation and administration of our safety program. Our safety program involves the active engagement of the company’s senior management, project managers, project superintendents, field employees and subcontractors.

Health and Safety Program

JEN COL operates a strict Health and Safety Program that outlines our policies, codes of practices, procedures, guidelines, rules and standards for its employees and sub-trades. This program directs daily operations and activities in reducing worker risk, building on safety practices and minimizing environmental impact.

Training

All employees, partners and subcontractors involved with projects undertaken by JEN COL are required to complete our online orientation program. They are trained that in representing our company on your site, they are held to the industry’s most rigorous safety standards, rules and practices.
