Client: City of Spruce Grove
Location: Spruce Grove, AB

The new outdoor hockey rink adjacent to the Tri-Leisure Center in Spruce Grove, AB was constructed to provide additional winter and summer recreation opportunities for residents of the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County region.
The scope of the project included grading to re-direct surface water runoff away from the existing building and away from the new rink location. This was completed with new concrete swale and culverts installed under an adjacent access road. Major scopes of work included concrete slab on grade for the rink base, complete dasher board package including a covered shelter and concrete sidewalk that allows residents access. Embedded into the concrete slab is sleeves for 3 full size pickle ball courts and 4 basketball up-stands.
Jen-Col participated in the Grand Opening celebration for the rink with speeches from Mayor Stuart Houston, Spruce Grove; Mayor Rod Shaigec, Parkland County and members of the board speaking about the positive impact that this rink is expected to bring to the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Parkland County communities.
